$495.00 USDThe Black Dragon Power Cable is a smooth, transparent-sounding cable with great dynamics that falls on the warm side of neutral. This cable has a full presentation that adds body and warmth to your music without making it sound laid back or lush. It utilizes 4x11 AWG ultra-pure, slow-drawn annealed and enamel-coated copper conductors that smooth out the top end while adding bottom-end weight, making the midrange sound more musical. It's a very flexible cable given the size of the conductors. Each strand acts as its own conductor due to the enamel coating, thus reducing skin effect. The Black Dragon Power Cable is a great cable for vocals and numerous music genres. Available in a variety of lengths and terminations.

Black Dragon Cable Design
The Black Dragon Power Cable's geometry has been developed to create a noise-free environment. 4x11 AWG Stranded high-purity slow-drawn Copper conductors are used per cable in a star Quad configuration. Each conductor is made up of a special selection of stranding sizes: 2 conductors for the positive and 2 conductors for the negative.
This yields an 8 AWG total size per signal polarity. All the conductors are wrapped in Teflon tape, which is the next best dielectric after Air. Teflon tape is a way to reduce the overall thickness of the casing to reduce the dielectric value. The 4 conductors are then twisted together and Teflon taped as well.
The Black Dragon Power Cable has a single 100% coverage shield but can be doubled up for noisy environments, plus it is relatively flexible. The cable is covered in 2 layers of Techflex braiding for added protection and good looks. The male outlet used is a Furutech gold-plated 15A/125V 3-PRONG PLUG Black plug that is Alpha Copper-based with a 24 karat gold plating. The female IEC outlet is the Furutech gold-plated 15A/125V 3-PRONG PLUG Black plug that is Alpha Copper based with a 24 karat gold plating.
The Black Dragon Power Cable is dead quiet and rejects all EMI and RFI interference. The cable is good for a 15 and 20-amp rating. 20 Amp versions come with the Furutech gold-plated 20A/125V 3-PRONG PLUG Black plug that is Alpha Copper based with a 24 karat gold plating. We also stock Schuko and UK Furutech Plugs as well as an upgrade path to the Top Line Furutech Plugs.

What is UP-OCC?
UP-OCC stands for Ultra-Pure Ohno Continuous Casting (OCC). This is not a material, but a way of extruding silver and copper to prevent any impurities and fractures in the crystalline structure of the wire. The wire is drawn very slowly to cast as an almost perfect single crystal small-diameter conductor. The resulting purity and the size of the cast wire make a tremendous difference and there is less damage to the near-perfect cast state. We find this UP-OCC process produces a very clean and close to neutral sound in our copper-based and silver-based cables.
