Who We Are Looking For...

Audio Cable Artisans Wanted to Craft Sonic Wonders

As a Cable Technician at Moon Audio, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting high-quality cables for direct-to-consumer use. Located in Cary, North Carolina, you'll be immersed in a dynamic environment where precision and attention to detail are paramount. Your typical day involves terminating various cables, conducting rigorous testing, and collaborating closely with team members to ensure exceptional quality standards. Additionally, you'll contribute to the troubleshooting and refurbishment of returned products, ensuring our customers receive top-notch audio solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Terminate Copper and Silver-based cables, encompassing a diverse range of connectors and constructions for audio interconnects, speaker cables, digital cables, USB cables, and power cables.
  • Utilize test equipment such as the Fluke 87V Digital Multimeter and conduct headphone tests to verify channel phasing, identification, and frequency sweep for each cable run.
  • Maintain effective communication channels between project leads and coworkers, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the cable production process.
  • Meticulously dress cables according to specifications, adhering to rigorous quality standards.
  • Follow step-by-step instructions diligently, maintaining the highest standards of appearance and functionality for all cables.
  • Adhere to stringent safety protocols mandated by OSHA, state, local regulations, and customer requirements.

Qualifications & Skills Needed:

  • Possess a minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Demonstrate at least two years of experience in a related technical field, preferably in cable or solder-type manufacturing and terminating.
  • Proficient in using precision tools such as soldering irons, electrician scissors, screwdrivers, pliers, and cordless drills.
  • Strong communication skills, essential for effective collaboration with project managers, technicians, and coworkers, coupled with proficient troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, specifications, and project documents, ensuring adherence to reporting and quality requirements.
  • Capable of carrying loads up to 50lbs within the facility, meeting physical requirements of the role.
  • Willingness to undergo on-the-job training covering termination and testing practices.
