PureWave & OptimaLoop
A proprietary iFi Audio technology, PureWave is a balanced, differential analog circuit design that reduces noise and crosstalk within the signal path by fully separating the left and right channels. iFi Audio's OptimaLoop technology is a proprietary circuit design optimizing the ground loop in audio circuits. Negative feedback is traditionally used in amplifier circuits to compare the output signal with the input signal and correct errors. However, negative feedback can also highlight different problems in a signal like corruption, phase shifts, group delay, and so on. DirectDrive & GMT
A proprietary circuit design created by iFi and implemented into their headphone amplifiers and DAC/Amp combos, DirectDrive focuses on improving the performance of headphone output stages. DirectDrive uses a DC-coupled design, meaning there are no coupling capacitors in the signal path. iEMatch
An accessory included with most products and available for purchase through iFi, iEMatch is a linear device that gets the signal from point A to point B with as little alteration as possible. iEMatch works to remove any audible background hiss you hear in your headphones and IEMs coming from your source device. When paired with your cans and device, iEMatch adjusts levels while making sure the source impedance seen by the headphones is low and the load seen by the amplifier is within normal design parameters. It doesn't alter impedances, affect the frequency response, or color the sound in any way, its sole purpose is to address impedance mismatching issues between high-sensitivity earphones/headphones and audio sources. Using iEMatch enables you to turn up the digital volume and get back the resolution you lose by listening at less than full volume. The result is a more open and transparent dynamic range.
